I’m Felix Rose, an animator from Sheffield who started studying animation at 20.
My passion for animation and character design has persisted from childhood, which blossomed into my drive to create the art myself at the age of 11. Ever since, I have poured my heart into storytelling through drawing, writing and, most recently, animation.
I took a 2 year gap after college before starting university initially due to Covid, though later chose to pursue some ‘real world’ experience. Working as an adviser at Citizens’ Advice gave me invaluable insight into the lives of those in need, issues ranging from the mundane to the life-altering. This experience has helped me to create more human ideas in my work, and to have a grounded foundation for the fantastical.
Studying at Hallam allowed my art to grow further, developing my skills in visual storytelling and character art and design. After 3 years of study, my confidence has bloomed in a way I didn’t think was possible when I started drawing at 11. My passion continues to grow with each day, and I’m excited to see what next comes for me!!
